Odisha Girl Sushree Dibyadarshini Selected For Women’s T-20 Cricket Challenge

Adding another feather to Odisha’s sporting cap, state-based cricketer Sushree Dibyadarshini has been selected to play the women’s T-20 cricket challenge. The tournament will be played in UAE from November 4 to 9.

The Dhenkanal girl will play for Team Velocity under captain Mithali Raj.

Sushree, who works with the Odisha Police, has played in U-19 and U-23 tournaments. She has also played for East Zone, India A, India Blue in Challenger Trophy and Emerging India Team in the quadrangular series.

Ollywood actor Sabyasachi Mishra congratulated Sushree on her feat via his Twitter handle.

“Our #Dhenkanal Girl Sushree Dibyadarshini selected again for 2020 Women’s T20 Challenge (Women’s IPL) by BCCI. She will play for IPL Velocity. Tournament will start from 4th NOV at UAE. All the best Girl..Make Odisha proud,” he tweeted.

Ace sprinter Dutee Chand also took to twitter to congratulate Sushree.

“Elated to learn that Odia girl Sushree Dibyadarshini has been selected for Women’s T20 Challenge at UAE. Girls are no less,” she wrote.

The tournament will comprise of three teams playing four matches. Besides the top Indian cricketers, the three squads will feature players from England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh and New Zealand.
