First Dual Masters Programme in Sports Launched in Odisha
Emmanuel Lenain, the Ambassador of France to India, launched India’s first Indo-French dual-degree master’s programme in Sports Industry Management in association with Xavier Emlyon Business School (XEBS). The Ambassador formally presented the management programme at Xavier University Bhubaneswar (XUB).
The Indo-French dual degree program, being launched under the XEBS Ahluwalia Centre of Excellence in Sports Management (XEBS CESM), combines the management programme of MBA from XUB and an MSc from Emlyon business school, a prime management school of France.
The dual-degree curriculum in sports management signifies the ascent of Odisha as the sports capital of the country.
The course is a full-time two-year residential programme that will allow multi-campus experience across XUB and Emlyon. Top faculty members from Emlyon business school, Xavier University and industry experts from both countries will teach the curriculum.
Addressing the media, the Ambassador stated, “I am happy to be a part of the launch of this Indo-French Dual Degree program of XEBS Ahluwalia Centre of Excellence in Sports Management, that too in a state like Odisha that is being called the sports capital of India. I am also excited to know that the Centre of Excellence has signed Letters of Intent with Tony Parker Adequat Academy and Decathlon India, which will provide great opportunities to students. I am looking forward to exploring the vibrant sports ecosystem of Odisha.”
