Naveen Patnaik Announces Series Of Initiatives On Independence Day
Addressing the 73rd Independence Day celebration at Exhibition Ground, Bhubaneswar, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced a new initiative ‘Mo Sarkar’ to ensure transparency in governance.
The first phase of ‘Mo Sarkar’ will be based on the 5T model of governance which will commence from October 2 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Patnaik said. The 5T model of governance is – Teamwork, Transparency, Technology, Time leading to Transformation.
As part of the next phase, all government departments will have to execute the ‘Mo Sarkar’ programme by March 5, 2020, on the birth anniversary of late CM Biju Patnaik.
The CM also announced that he would connect via telephone calls with people to know the response they have got at public offices, police stations and the kind of service they received at several hospitals. Also, ministers of the State will ask people about the experience at government offices.
Patnaik also assured that electricity connection will be provided to villagers within 48 hours of submission of application at concerned panchayat offices.
Notably, the CM has also inaugurated the much-awaited online land revenue payment system from the Loka Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar to provide relief to farmers who run to various government offices to pay land revenue.
