First Mo Parivar Meeting Conducted By CM

Chief Minister of Odisha and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo Naveen Patnaik had launched a social service initiative – ‘Odisha-Mo Parivar’ (Odisha, my family). The initiative was launched on 25th October last year which requires the party leaders to dedicate themselves to encourage environmental protection, blood donation and ensure the welfare of Odias in distress.

The first organizational meeting of ‘Odisha-Mo Parivar’ was held on 5th January where party leaders were asked to protect the environment, undertake extensive planting of trees, and create awareness among the public.

The three central committees and the party leaders involved in the initiative are mentioned below:

-Environmental Protection Committee will involve Pinaki Mishra, Achyuta Samanta, Nalinikanta Pradhan and Sandhya Kumari Nayak who are in charge of invigilating issues catering to environmental progress in Odisha.

-Blood donation service and welfare activities will be driven by Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Latika Pradhan, Manohar Randhari, Susant Kumar Rout, Rita Tarai, Ananta Narayan Jena, Sunita Biswal, Bharati Singh and Gourahari Mishra.

-Committee for providing help and assistance to the distressed Odias comprises of Chandra Sekhar Sahu, MP, MLA Sanjib Kumar Mallik, Sudhir Samal, and Dejalin Mohapatra

“This is a non-political initiative which will work on three aspects – protection of the environment, improving health care services and addressing issues of Prabasi Odias,” Odisha-Mo Parivar convenor Arup Patnaik said to the media after the meeting.

An official statement to the press stated that the initiative will enable non-resident Odias to establish rapport with the people of the state and boost the principles of Mahatma Gandhi, Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das, Utkal Gourav Madhusudhan Das, and legendary Biju Patnaik.

CM Patnaik on the occasion of the launch said, “About 4.5 crore Odias are my family; I have been always working for their welfare. To make it ahead, I am launching the ‘Odisha Mo Parivar’ program”.
