Naveen Patnaik Unveils Coffee Table Book ‘Juggernaut – Odisha On The Move’
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik unveiled the coffee table book named ‘Juggernaut: Odisha On The Move’ at a launch event that took place in Bhubaneswar on Saturday. The book provides a glimpse into Odisha’s history, culture, sports and more in addition to depicting the overall progress the state has made on all fronts over the past decade.
Present at the event were some of the most prominent personalities of today including Mr. Ravi Shankar, who is the author of the book, Shri Prabhu Chawla, Editorial Director of The New Indian Express Group, Ms. Nishtha Satyam, UN Women, Deputy Country Representative, India, Bhutan, Maldives and Sri Lanka, Dr. Anuprita Shukla, UNESCO Chair in Adult Literacy and Learning for Social Transformation and many more.
A couple of panel discussions took place during the event, one of which focused on gender issues while the other was on ‘Odisha on the Move’. The panellists expressed their opinions on the topics and enlightened the audience with their wisdom and knowledge.
Commenting on the occasion, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said “Before 20 years, Odisha was known for its dire poverty. Around 80 lakh people have been lifted above the poverty line in the state.”
