Akshay Kumar Partners with nCore Games for FAU-G: 5 Things You Should Know
Several Indian game developers have tried to capitalize on the ban of PUBG by introducing an alternative battle royale game. And one among them is nCore Games. In the last week, the company announced that they are working on developing FAU-G or Fearless And United: Guards. And the biggest highlight regarding this development is the involvement of Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar.
Akshay Kumar shared a poster of FAU-G on his social media accounts just two days after the ban of 118 apps that included the widely popular PUBG. He announced that the game will be a multiplayer shooter. Besides the usual fun and entertainment, players will also learn about the sacrifices of Indian soldiers via the game.
Similarly, there are many interesting facts about the game. Here are a few things that you should know about FAU-G:
Development Process began in May 2020
nCore Games was co-founded by Vishal Gondal who is also the CEO of GOQII. According to him, FAU-G was always in the pipeline and they were targeting to release it towards the end of the 2020 calendar year. The ban on PUBG Mobile was purely coincidental.
The company is also working on other projects including a cricket game which is expected to launch around IPL 2020.
Expected launch in October 2020
The game was first announced in the aftermath of PM Narendra Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. However, it is reportedly in its final stages of completion under the mentorship of Akshay Kumar. FAU-G will be available for download by end of October.
Part of Revenue to be Donated to Bharat Ke Veer Trust
FAU-G is centred around the Indian Army’s missions and their stories of sacrifice. As per reports, 20 per cent of the net revenue generated from the game will be donated to Bharat Ke Veer Trust. This initiative supports the families of India’s armed forces.
First Level is set in the backdrop of Galvan Valley
The first map will be revealed for quests when the game is available for download. The map is expected to be set in the backdrop of Galvan Valley where Indian Armed forces recently skirmished with Chinese troops.
The third-person shooting gameplay in Battle Royale style will be released with the subsequent updates.
Will be available on Play Store and Apple App Store
FAU-G will mark its presence across all devices as it will be available on Play Store and the Apple App Store. The game developers intend to give this app an international look and feel. With a large amount of buzz already created on social media, the number of potential downloads is expected to be quite high.
