Tata Power Launches Self-Meter Reading App For Central Odisha
Tata Power Central Odisha Distribution Ltd (TPCODL) announced the launch of a self-meter reading app ‘TPCODL MITRA’ for the convenience of its customers in Central Odisha. The app will enable users to scan meter readings and generate the bill instantly.
The company on its official website mentions a three-step process to avail of this feature via the app.
- Register for the self-meter reading service.
- Capture the current meter reading using a smartphone and submit it on the app to generate the bill
- Pay online through the app
The app also allows customers to receive information on power cuts, register complaints, report theft among a host of other features.
“We are extremely glad to launch the ‘TPCODL MITRA’ App. As a customer-centric organisation, we are always committed to offer the utmost convenience to our customers. The Self- Meter Reading App is a testament to our efforts to empower customers with such value-added services, We will continue to launch more such services going ahead,” said M. Shenbagam, Chief Executive Officer, TP Central Odisha Distribution Ltd.
The disruptions due to the pandemic have made life difficult for TPCODL employees to carry out physical meter readings. The TPCODL MITRA app would help minimise any mismatch between the actual and reported readings. It would help in eliminating occasional errors that occur in manual meter readings.
