Odisha Government approves Investment Proposals worth Rs 464.72 Crores
The Odisha government has given its nod to four investment proposals worth Rs 464.72 crore, as per official reports.
These projects are likely to generate employment for more than 873 persons. The approval for the proposals came at the Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting headed by Chief Secretary A K Tripathy.
The projects that received the green signal from the state government include:
- A Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) manufacturing facility with an investment of Rs 93 crore and an annual capacity of 72,000 cubic meters by Galax Industries Private Limited. The unit will be established at Malipada in Khurda district and will generate employment opportunities for more than 310 persons, said Industries secretary Hemant Sharma
- A 120 KLPD grain-based distillery unit for manufacturing of Extra-Neutral Alcohol (ENA)/ Ethanol and 4 MW cogeneration power plant to be set up in Khurda and Nayagarh by Globus Spirits with an investment of Rs 151.72. It is expected to employ over 300 persons
- A Pellet Plant of 1.6 MTPA to be set up at Lathikata in Sundergarh by Envirocare Infrasolution Pvt Ltd with an investment of Rs 100 crore. It will employ over 195 persons
- A 4 MTPA Slurry Pipeline project at Koira to be laid by Envirocare Infrasolution Private Limited with an investment of Rs 100 crore. This will generate employment opportunities for more than 68 persons
Tripathy, in a statement, said that Odisha could attract investment of around Rs 1.19 lakh crore and generate employment for over 54,131 people even during the COVID-19 pandemic. The investment proposals have been approved by the state since February this year, he said. He also added that this has been possible because of a progressive policy that has enhanced the ease of doing business.
